Project #1 Foot Print Introduction


Description: This activity was used to introduce ourselves to the classroom. We traced our footprint on construction paper and cut it out. We were to include names and symbols while using three different media types to represent aspects of our lives. Some of the supplies I used with my footprint were crayons, markers, pens, pencils, colored pencils, scissors, and glue. (Rubric below)


Extension activity: As a future teacher, I could extend this activity by having students measure items in the room like a desk, how many steps to the door from the front of the room, etc. Then have students think pair share about how many steps they counted and why they think each student has a different amount of steps.
