Project 3: Dot Day

For this activity, we used a coffee filter, watercolor, crayons, markers, and oil crayons. We created a design with whatever medium we chose, I chose crayons and created orange lines and a blue circle in the middle. I used a white crayon in the middle to write "Aussie" and a picture of a crown. After I did that, I then used watercolors and painted every section a different color.
For an extension activity you could do with this is to have students write a short story or poem inspired by their design. This activity encourages creativity while allowing students to explore narrative structure and character development.
